Let's get the inside ready too!

Before the first buyer walks in your door, I'll show you how to set the stage. We want to engage the buyer's senses. Lighting is critical and we'll draw back curtains, open blinds, change light bulbs and add lighting where needed. We'll enhance the ambiance with classical music playing lightly in the background and insure a pleasing aroma emanates throughout the house.*

Here is what you can do to get your home ready

Remove all clutter from the house

Make sure countertops free and clear of pots, pans and cooking utensils

Remove unnecessary furniture throughout the house

Take down family photos on the hallway and living room walls

Remove the art gallery from the refrigerator

Clean bathrooms and install fresh shower curtains

New, or at least clean, towels hung neatly in all bathrooms

Inspect paint and wallpaper. Is it in good condition? Repaint if needed

Patch all holes in walls

Vacuum carpet and check for stains

Clean hard surface flooring and check for stains

Clean windows, blinds and draperies

Clean closets and cupboards

Hide kitty litter, pet toys and bedding

Check condition of patio furniture or BBQ and playground equipment in the yard

Donate unused items to local charity or store it elsewhere

Check for leaks under sinks or around toilets. Fix if necessary

Lock up guns, knives and other items that may be dangerous if handled incorrectly

Lock up cash, stocks, bonds, jewelry and other valuables

Make beds daily and pick up loose clothing and toys

Clean garage and remove cars from the garage before showings

*A word of caution on creating aroma in your home. Do not use potpourri as some people are allergic to it. Instead use inexpensive air fresheners or better yet, baking cookies or bread the morning before your home is shown is a great way to say "Welcome home".
